Job Description

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the region Services organization as a technical resource taking the lead on solving complex operational challenges in some of the most sensitive and mission critical clouds. You will be responsible for driving largescale global projects and initiatives leading crossfunctional teams focused on the delivery of new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity open capacity at a faster rate and secure devices to AWS standards.

We are looking for a passionate deeply technical and resultsoriented Principal (TPM) to define and drive Region Services initiatives. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multiyear roadmap using Agile and incremental delivery methods

This position requires that the candidate selected hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance job responsibilities
Gather business requirements document functional and design specifications define user acceptance criteria for testing software ensure systems capture applicable data to enable customers to measure how effective their processes are and leverage software on a regular basis.
Identify and assemble the appropriate resources for each project assign individual responsibilities and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
Contribute with crossfunctional business and technical skills assess and manage risks measure and report on progress anticipate and resolve bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
You rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.
You will manage repair requests in a highvolume environment as well as managing response to high severity events.
You will present to senior leadership on a regular basis demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.
You be responsible for data collection analytics and dashboard creation as a way to help others recognize the best path to make the business better.

10 years of technical product or program management experience
10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
6 years of software development experience
