Job Description
Title: Grounds Worker Part Time
Job Summary
This is a parttime position working under the general supervision of the Grounds Manager or designee. The Grounds Worker is responsible for the maintenance and improvements of campus grounds landscaping streets and walks.
Job Duties
Maintenance of campus grounds including mowing trimming pruning weeding cleaning debris removal and picking up trash.
o Operate various types of commercial equipment (i.e. Mower tractors backhoe and forklift).
o Maintenance of streets parking lots walks installing traffic signs and maintenance of ponds.
o Cultivate toe trench and mulch landscape plantings shrubs and trees.
o Mix and apply herbicides insecticides and fertilizers with the supervision of the Grounds Manager.
Empty outside trash receptacles and pick up trash and debris on campus grounds.
Cleaning of roadways parking lots sidewalks and building entrances during weather emergencies affecting normal campus operations (i.e. snow removal debris removal).
Clean and properly maintain equipment and tools.
Assist in delivering of all campus incoming freight and log daily freight information.
Office moves and event setups.
May perform other work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1 years experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with grounds maintenance and landscaping
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Customer service time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscape methods.
Interpersonal and public relations communication skills; ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.
Ability to move throughout the campus and lift up to 5075 lbs.
Operate commercial lawn equipment

Pay Rate: $16.10/hour
