Job Description

LOCATION: Wild Horse Pass Corporate Center

COMPENSATION: $58656$65600

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week FullTime

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of IT


Summary:


As a Network Associate you will be a vital part of our IT infrastructure team responsible for assisting in the design implementation and maintenance of our network systems. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about networking technologies and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our organizations network. You will work closely with senior network engineers and IT professionals to ensure optimal performance security and reliability of our network infrastructure.


Responsibilities:

Network Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Assist in the configuration deployment and management of network devices including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Support the implementation of network upgrades and improvements ensuring adherence to best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of network configurations topologies and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance security incidents and usage trends for review by senior management.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to endusers and other IT team members for networkrelated issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving connectivity problems both onsite and remotely.
  • Support the setup and configuration of network access for new employees and devices.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends to contribute to the continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.
  • Participate in training sessions workshops and certifications to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other IT team members vendors and external partners to support networkrelated projects and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with nontechnical staff to provide clear explanations of network issues and solutions.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will primarily be performed in an office environment.

  • Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis in most weather conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Evening weekend and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.
  • Occasional local day travel Local travel to managed businesses.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend climb stoop lift carry push kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of IT or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with network hardware such as routers switches network cabling and firewalls.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs and VPNs.
  • Valid AZ drivers license provide a 39month satisfactory MVR report.
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.
  • A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
  • Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drugfree workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network
  • Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities.
  • Proficient in MS office and other relevant workplace tools.
