What you will do:
As a Corporate Tax Supervisor you will supervise plan direct and coordinate the overall activities including the technical and administrative activities as well as future direction and goals of the SCDOR Corporate Tax section with a focus on the security of taxpayer data.
Primary duties include:- Determining priorities and other opportunities for administering work timely and efficiently for the SCDOR Corporate Tax section
- Maintaining tax and process knowledge
- Hiring a competent empowered and forwardthinking team
- Administering the agency EMPS program staff organization employee engagement training career development plans team and leave succession planning and personnel matters
- Planning the future direction of the SCDOR Corporate Tax section
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to understand section requirements
- Identifying issues to define improvements for section processes
- Developing procedures for all of the duties and tasks performed within the SCDOR Coporate Tax section
- Creating statistical reports for trends
- Determining any system modifications or enhancements needed
- Evaluating the needs for and leads special projects within the SCDOR Corporate Tax section
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Either:
- A bachelors degree and three years of relevant experience in business administration public administration or administrative services OR
- An associates degree and five years of relevant experience in business administration public administration or administrative services OR
- Seven years of relevant experience in business administration public administration or administrative services
Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.

- Training: As a Corporate Tax Supervisor you will participate in a training program to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to successfully perform their job.
- Hours: Work hours are 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday Friday (37.5 hours per week).
- Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to one day per week.
