Description of role:
We are seeking for a dynamic Senior Project Engineer. Are you ready to be part of a globally recognised team pushing the boundaries of laser Directed Energy Deposition (DEDLB) processes.
Join us and be at the forefront of innovation in laser additive manufacturing (AM).
As a Senior Project Engineer specialising in Directed Energy Deposition (DED) with powder or wire feedstock you will play a critical role in our advanced manufacturing team based in Sheffield UK. As part of our team you will provide industry with consultancy and subcontracted R&D projects in Additive manufacturing repair and cladding including the extreme highspeed laser application process (EHLA).
Your expertise will contribute to the development and delivery of knowledge test artefacts and highquality components for a global client base spanning a broad range of industrial sectors including aerospace oil and gas defence and power generation.
The successful candidate should have a degree and/or PhD in a relevant topic (e.g. additive manufacturing mechanical engineering or materials) have demonstrated practical experiencing of operating DED hardware and have confidence in leading and managing technical projects and preparing and writing proposals and tenders.
Please include in your application if your primary area of expertise is focused on wire or powder consumables. This position will require some travel both in the UK and abroad.
