RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Maintain and update asset management databases and software to track IT equipment including computers servers networking devices and peripherals
- Assign property control numbers to new IT items upon receipt and maintain records of such assignments
- Conduct periodic audits and physical inventories of IT assets reconciling records with actual items to ensure accountability
- Tag and label IT equipment for tracking and identification purposes.
- Record and process location changes transfers and disposals of IT assets.
- Coordinate the receipt distribution and replacement of IT equipment to various departments or locations.
- Prepare and compile regular reports on IT asset status usage and incidents for management review
- Respond to incidents involving damage or loss of IT property compile reports and assist with insurance claims processing when necessary
- Maintain records of leased or rented IT equipment and verify related invoices.
- Collaborate with accounting and other departments to ensure accurate asset records and support audits.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations regarding IT asset management and data security

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
- Coursework or certification in accounting computers or a related field is preferred
- Postsecondary coursework or an associates degree Postsecondary coursework or an associates degree may be advantageous for some positions is preferred
Required Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word) and asset management software is desirable
- Proficiency in data entry and database management preferably with asset management or inventory control software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware software and related terminology.
- Ability to plan organize and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and vendors.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
Physical Requirements
This position has the following special requirements:
- Ability to lift carry push or pull objects typically up to 1035 pounds such as computers monitors and related equipment. Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required depending on the equipment
- Bending kneeling reaching to store/retrieve supplies repair equipment.
- Sight reading wrist movements feeling to operate computer terminal repair computer equipment handling documents.
- Talking hearing to instruct employees communicating with service providers in person and over the telephone.
- Ability to work in a confined area or restricted workspace for short periods.
- Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders is necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental Factors
- Duties are normally performed in an office environment but may occasionally require work in server rooms wiring closets or other areas where exposure to moderate noise or electrical equipment and sometimes confined spaces is possible.
- The job can be fastpaced and may require handling multiple tasks or responding to urgent technical issues as they arise
- Regular predictable attendance is required
Expected Hours of Work
Typically workfulltime schedules of around 40 hours per week most commonly during standard business hours such asMonday through Friday 8 AM to 5 hours may vary based on business needs.
