Job Description
Oak Hill High School is seeking a Robotics Team Advisor/Coach for the 202526 school year.
PRIMARY FUNCTION/SCOPE OF POSITION:
A robotics coach will be charged with the organization and implementation of a successful must demonstrate the ability to develop a program that is committed to the creation of student participants who demonstrate a commitment to academics strong fundamental skills cooperation and team/community pride.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruiting:Finding students and adult mentors to participate in the robotics program
- Training:Teaching students about engineering design and how to apply it to building programming and testing robots
- Assisting:Helping students design and build robots and troubleshooting mechanical and programming issues
- Coordinating:Scheduling build sessions and competitions and acting as a project coordinator for the season
- Supervising:Attending and supervising students during competitions
- Communicating:Keeping students and families informed about team activities
- Supporting:Encouraging the learning process while allowing students to make decisions and cheering for teams during matches
- Evaluating:Reviewing a teams engineering notebook and providing feedback on game and scoring strategies
- Administering:Registering teams and performing other administrative tasks
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience preferred but not required
