LICENSING INVESTIGATIONS SPECIALIST
Location: Phoenix Arizona
Salary: $61515.17 $82189.12

This recruitment will be used to establish an 18month eligibility list to fill current and future vacancies.
Under general supervision monitors the regulatory and statutory compliance of agencies and individuals responsible for providing security and private investigative services. Reviews and investigates complaints processes disciplinary information for the hearing board(s) makes preliminary license action determinations and recommendations prepares criminal investigation referral packets testifies in administrative and criminal hearings and assists with licensing unit functions. Is responsible for administrative work of average difficulty to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and statutory guidelines. Performs related duties as assigned. This is a competitive classification.
Requires four (4) years of experience in criminal or administrative investigations and/or regulatory compliance auditing and/or complaint investigation and resolution and/or analysis requiring drawing actionable conclusions from research that includes preparing reports based on the conclusions. Education from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to two years of the required experience.
Note: One year of work experience is equivalent to thirty semester hours of coursework from an accredited college or university.
Office setting.
Onsite visits to a variety of commercial and industrial workplace settings.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to travel frequently statewide.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver license by hire date.
Must obtain ACJIS Terminal Operator Certification within six months.
May be required to work extended or irregular hours.
