Job Description
Need At least 10-12 Years of overall experience
Position: Aurora PostgreSQL DBA
Location: Charlotte NC (4x per week Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
- 10 years experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems in PostgreSQL
- 4 5 years experience working with AWS Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL
- Strong knowledge of working with DMS CloudWatch Performance Insights and other DB monitoring tools like PMM or Foglight
- Strong knowledge and experience in integrating and working on cloud monitoring tools like Dynatrace and logging tools like Splunk
- Deep knowledge of database internals troubleshooting query optimization explain plan analysis and performance optimization
- Experience migrating databases from other DB engines to Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL
- Broad exposure and work experience on other databases and data warehousing technologies
- Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and DynamoDB
- Excellent communication skills; should be able to communicate efficiently with customers and leaders and lead discussions during incident calls
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with customers resolving database systems and infrastructure-related issues and providing systems architecture leadership
- Ability to analyze issues holistically from the application tier through the database down to the storage
- Broad awareness of customer workloads and use cases including performance availability and scalability
- Holistic exposure and work experience on AWS Cloud and Infrastructure
- Nice to have: AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate
