Job Purpose: Backend Engineer with strong handson experience in database design optimization and management. The ideal candidate should be proficient in PostgreSQL SQL and backend development ensuring efficient data handling and integration with applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services with a strong focus on database performance and scalability.
Design optimize and manage PostgreSQL databases for highperformance applications.
Write efficient SQL queries stored procedures and indexing strategies.
Ensure data integrity security and backup/recovery strategies for databases.
Work with AWS services such as RDS (PostgreSQL) S3 and Lambda for database operations.
Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for data access and integration.
Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams for seamless application deployment.
Utilize Bitbucket for version control and code collaboration.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
10 years of handson experience in backend development with a focus on databases.
Expertise in PostgreSQL SQL and database performance optimization.
Strong backend development experience using Python or Java.
Experience in query optimization indexing and stored procedures.
Familiarity with Bitbucket for version control and collaboration.
Experience working with AWS database services (RDS DynamoDB etc.).
Knowledge of API development and backend frameworks
Preferred Skills:
Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and eventdriven systems.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
Understanding of serverless frameworks in AWS.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in computer engineering
Selfmotivated with exceptional time management
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate with team members and clients at all levels of an organization
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
