Profile Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 57 years of experience in architectural design with at least 23 years in a senior or project leadership role focused on Australian projects. Experience working remotely is required.
  • Australian Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Australian building codes standards and construction practices is essential.
  • Licensure: Licensed architect or in the process of obtaining licensure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD Revit SketchUp. Efficiency in Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple Australian projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to Australian clients in a virtual environment.
  • ProblemSolving: Ability to quickly identify project challenges specific to Australian architecture and to Cobild Standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in both design and documentation with a focus on compliance with Australian standards.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with the ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows.

Core responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Assisting the Design Manager in reviewing and tracking design process and completeness for each of our projects.
  • Technical Documentation: Review and track detailed architectural drawings specifications and construction documents using CAD and BIM software with a focus on Australian building standards and practices.
  • Project Management: Assit the Design Manager in creating and tracking Design Programs for our projects and in following up Cobild Design processes and checklist with our project teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Design Manager and Project teams designers engineers and consultants to ensure the delivery of quality documentation and design outcomes.
  • Remote Coordination: Utilize virtual collaboration tools (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams) to communicate effectively with team members and clients across Australia.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs and documents meet Cobild s high standards of quality accuracy and compliance with Australian building regulations.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends technologies and best practices in Australian architecture and remote project management.

NOTE: This is a permanent remote position structured as an Independent Contractor arrangement. Selected candidates must have their own equipment and reliable internet connection. Additionally they will be responsible for managing their own taxes and benefits. Compensation is offered on a biweekly basis.
