Purpose of the Job
To deliver high quality and timely regulatory advice and support to clients. To maximise our presence within the industry secure new clients and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Main Responsibilities
Your role will be wide and varied and you will be expected to be willing to undertake the many tasks that arise when part of a flexible consulting team. The role will be challenging but conversely you will have the opportunity get to see the asset management industry from a unique perspective as well as gaining exposure over time to other sectors as part of the crosspractice collaboration. A key part of your responsibilities will be in supporting the team assisting with client delivery and servicing as well as business development.
Client delivery and servicing
You will work closely with clients and colleagues providing you with the opportunity to advise and support clients and undertake a range of responsibilities including:
- Assisting in the preparation of FCA authorisations variations of permission changes in control and other interactions with the FCA on behalf of primarily asset managers adviser/arrangers and corporate finance firms.
- Assisting in the managing a portfolio of client relationships providing high quality advice and support to clients on a range of regulatory compliance matters. This may include contribution to compliance framework design health checks and monitoring training and workshops.
- Having a client centric approach in order to retain existing business grow business through identifying upsell opportunities through your knowledge of the client and identify cross sell opportunities into Bovill Newgate and the wider Ocorian Group from your work;
- Acting as the secondary point of contact for a portfolio of clients as directed by relationship managers across the Funds Practice.

Qualifications :
Knowledge Skills and Experience
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual who thrives in a fastpaced highpressure environment has commercial acumen the ability to spot new opportunities and develop them with an entrepreneurial mindset and can do attitude.
- You are likely to have a degree and at least two years relevant experience as a compliance practitioner.
- You need to have a good understanding of the FCA regulations and expectations for the wholesale financial services sector.
- You are expected to have good written and oral communication skills the ability to confidently interact with clients and the ability to prioritise multiple projects and engagements whilst meeting tight deadlines.
- Having excellent Microsoft Office skills would be an advantage.
