Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue San Bruno CA 94066
Duties: Collaborate with product management project management business and user experience teams during the discovery phase of software engineering projects to develop highlevel designs. Review project requirements and lead projects by translating requirements into technical stories. Collaborate with stakeholders to execute technical designs. Make technical decisions and provide insights. Drive frontend development initiatives for business advancement. Assist the business by addressing user inquiries concerns and issues including technical feasibility and implementation strategies. Incorporate company policies procedures and ethical standards into the development and implementation of business plans ensuring compliance and alignment with the companys mission values and integrity standards. Ensure timely delivery and smooth handovers. Optimize applications through the identification of areas for enhancement. Improve frontend performance by eliminating performance bottlenecks. Boost application performance by identifying issues and common patterns and standardizing procedures. Research and incorporate relevant new techniques and technologies into practice. Maintain and enhance existing codebases and conduct code reviews for proposed changes. Create documentation for knowledge transfer purposes. Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers and offshore associates. Drive releases coordinate with crossfunctional teams and work on release schedules to ensure smooth deployments. Conduct thorough testing to ensure software functionality and quality. Troubleshoot production issues by gathering information. Perform root cause analysis to reduce future issues. Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle and project management.
Minimum education and experience required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering (any) or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.
Skills required: Experience with React including memoization state management and hooks. Experience with JavaScript objectoriented programming. Experience with ES6 features and syntax including arrow functions spread operators destructuring and modules. Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 including responsive design principles and CSS preprocessors. Experience with build tools: Webpack and Babel. Experience with version control system: Git. Experience with package managers: npm and Yarn. Experience with code editors: Visual Studio Code and Sublime Text. Experience with testing frameworks Jest and Enzyme. Experience with automation testing. Experience using debugging tools to identify and resolve frontend issues. Experience creating frontend solutions that work seamlessly across different browsers and devices and ensuring a consistent user experience. Experience with responsive design principles. Experience developing a mobilefriendly web application. Experience with performance optimization techniques including asset bundling and minification lazy loading serverside rendering (SSR) and performance monitoring to deliver fast and optimized web experiences. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $141751/year to $234000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
