Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Technical Accountant to join our Accounting Policy and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of US GAAP IFRS and experience in processes and controls. This role requires an ACCA or equivalent qualification with 23 years of postqualification experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Support the Director of Accounting Policy and Compliance in implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
- Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Qualifications :
- ACCACPA or equivalent qualification.
- 23 years of postqualification experience in accounting o/ finance./auditing
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with accounting processes and controls.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting environment.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems beneficial but not necessary
- Experience with M&A and restructuring transactions
