Assistant Construction Project Manager
Rochester MN Direct Hire $84k$110k
Konik is partnered with a growing commercial construction company who is adding at Project Manager to lead all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout to their team. The jobsites are located in Rochester MN.
Assistant Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Assist in developing and maintaining construction schedules in collaboration with project and field teams.
- Help manage and track project documentation such as RFIs submittals change orders and closeout materials.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope alignment timely procurement and contract compliance.
- Monitor and update budget tracking tools; assist with reporting on project costs forecasts and cash flow.
- Participate in internal and external project meetings; ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Promote jobsite safety quality control and compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Assistant Construction Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in construction management or related field with 24 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects; or equivalent field experience.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling budgeting and project management platforms (e.g. Procore MS Project Bluebeam).
- Understanding of construction contracts RFIs submittals and change order workflows.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred; OSHA 30 a plus or willingness to obtain.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
