Job Description
The Robotics Department at Nazarbayev University is seeking a highly qualified fulltime faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to join its rapidly growing program in Robotics in the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences. Applicants with research and teaching interests in all subfields of robotics (including robot learning manipulation and grasping control systems and planning humanrobot interaction and robot sensing/perception/vision) are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Robotics or a closely related discipline from a reputable research university and a demonstrated ability for research. All candidates must have excellent Englishlanguage communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching and research.
Position responsibilities include an average teaching load of two (2) courses per semester ongoing engagement in relevant professional and research activities student advising and other activities related to the intellectual and cultural environment of the university.
Qualifications :
- PhD degree in Robotics or a closely related field from a reputable university with a proven research track record. Previous experience in teaching and research grant management is desirable but not required.

Initial appointment is on a 3year renewable contract and subsequent appointments can be 5 year/3year renewable subject to annual performance reviews. The position is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
