Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team in Brentwood United Kingdom. As a vital member of our kitchen staff you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean organized and efficient kitchen environment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment utensils and work areas
- Wash dishes pots and pans using manual and automatic dishwashing equipment
- Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Ensure proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas
- Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to established procedures
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies
- Perform regular deep cleaning tasks as scheduled
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods and special events
- Adhere to all health safety and food hygiene regulations
Qualifications :
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
