Located in North Miami Beach Florida Scheck Hillel is a large private Jewish day school serving over 1300 students from 18 months through 12th grade. Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence we are known for educational rigor a warm community and a commitment to Jewish values. With planned expansion and innovation on the horizon we are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help lead us into our next chapter.
About the Role
The COO reports directly to the Head of School and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team. This is a highimpact position responsible for ensuring that all nonacademic functions of the school operate with excellence and efficiency. From longrange planning to daytoday execution you will drive innovation manage complex systems and lead crossdepartmental teams to support a thriving learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and daily leadership for school operations fostering a campus culture of safety service and excellence.
• Departmental Management: Oversee Facilities Security IT Events Health Services Food Service Janitorial and Risk Management.
• Systems & Processes: Develop implement and refine operational systems to improve effectiveness and accountability.
• Strategic Initiatives: Lead major projects such as campus construction and technology upgrades from planning through execution.
• Collaboration: Partner with school leadership and department heads to align operations with mission educational goals and longterm strategic vision.
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements; proactively mitigate institutional risk.

• Bachelors degree required Mastersdegree or higher
• Experience in budgeting financial management and strategic planning within a school or educational organization.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time including climbing ladders.
