Pure Storage is seeking a Software Development Manager to help lead product development and grow the overall engineering organization. You will be leading a team of software developers in the creation of our product and will need to partner with product management QA technical writing and various other software teams. You will also provide the necessary technical direction and mentoring to employees on your team and others to achieve successful project outcomes.

What youll be doing:

• Manager of SDLC who will help lead and grow a team into developing automated test infrastructure for softwarebased allflash storage arrays
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to define test automation requirements by participating in product design reviews
• Lead by example in doing handson design development and debugging
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to employees on your team and others to ensure product quality and ontime deliverables
• Identify and leverage metrics that allow us to ensure and improve our release process

WHAT YOULL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 years of technical management experience at multiple levels while staying handson in testing troubleshooting or development
• Successfully manage and lead a team with senior engineers
• 5 years of software development or test framework automation experience (Python Go C etc)
• Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Experience with troubleshooting and managing a complex automation system
• Solid knowledge of endtoend quality best practices
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Must be willing and able to work in an open office team environment
• We are primarily an inoffice environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara CA office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.

The annual base salary range is: $193000 $290000.

Salary ranges are determined based on role level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
