How do you excel in this position
The Lead Painter Technician is a critical role in supporting our growing compression skid system business. This will be a handson working lead role requiring the individual to perform all painting tasks. As the department grows this position will evolve to supervise and mentor a team of painters across multiple shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial painting techniques surface preparation quality control and safety protocols. They will also possess the leadership skills to build and manage a successful painting team.
What are we looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in painting or related fields are a plus.
- Five (5) years of experience as an industrial painter required.
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of various industrial painting techniques surface preparation methods and coating materials.
- Experience with operating and maintaining blast equipment.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 12944 NACE/SSPC standards.
