Classification: Nonexempt

Department:Weaving

Reports to:Production Manager

Shift:2nd Shift (3pm to 11:30pm)


Internal Preference:

Job Description


Summary/Objective

Set up and adjust circular looms per jacket specification sheets. Direct andcoordinate BWeaver activities


Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  1. Setup and change over circular weaving looms and loom creels per the
    specifications
  2. Complete in process checks and end of length inspections to insure jackets
    meet the specification
  3. Complete basic PM checks and minor mechanical repairs on the circularlooms
  4. Assign looms to BWeavers and direct BWeavers creeling activities on adaily basis
  5. Assist BWeavers with quality issues and minor defects
  6. Assist BWeavers training and evaluation of their weaving skills andknowledge
  7. Direct twisting as required to insure the correct weft is being produced tomeet the weaving demand
  8. Work with the jacket inspector to address quality issues found at inspection
  9. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor
  10. Attains production goals by accurately and timely completing work orderswith minimum supervision
  11. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  12. Responsible for site and personal compliance of all OSHA and BulldogHose rules and regulations
  13. Completes transactions in the ERP System



NonEssential Functions

  1. Accurately records time worked and allocates time to the appropriate job(s).
  2. May operate a forklift as needed

Supervisory Responsibility

Lead worker is responsible for directing weavers.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles oil and grease. The team member is occasionally exposed to vibration. The team member occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and performs work from a variety of different angles and body positions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping twisting crouching and crawling all day. The team member is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls and to climb or balance. The team member is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.


The team member must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds; and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


    Position Type and Expected hours of Work

    This is a fulltime 2nd shift position. Days of work are Monday through Friday 3pm to 11:30pm.


    Opportunities to work extended hours and on the weekend work may be optional or required as job duties demand.





    Travel

    No travel is regularly expected for this position. Team member may be assigned to go outon a service call to a customers premise.




    Required Education and Experience

    1. High School Diploma or GED diploma or three to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
    2. Industry experience
