Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic I 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location:Clackamas OR 97015
Pay Rate:$31.97 per hour
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift:3:00 PM 11:00 PM (5 days/week)
- 3rd Shift (Graveyard):10:00 PM 6:30 AM (5 days/week)
Must be available to work at least one weekend day and overtime as needed
Assignment Type:TemptoHire (extension possible)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic I to join our production facility in Clackamas OR. This role is critical in maintaining equipment efficiency and safety across the plant. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues on a variety of manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company safety policies and GMP/Global Food Safety practices.
- Execute Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues on mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems (e.g. conveyors compressors chillers PLCs robots).
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all plant equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints repair manuals and schematics.
- Dismantle repair and reassemble machinery.
- Fabricate and weld mild and stainless steel as needed.
- Maintain logs and documentation of all maintenance activities.
- Order spare parts and coordinate with vendors and contractors as required.
- Train team members in equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Support operational improvements by reducing downtime and spoilage.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical repair experience.
- Knowledge of machine shop tools fabrication hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to interpret technical documents (blueprints electrical diagrams).
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (bending stooping turning).
- Manual dexterity and good coordination required.
- Strong teamwork communication and problemsolving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Preferred:
- LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License
