Job Description
We are seeking a Commercial Insurance professional skilled at providing guidance on insurance coverage while developing relationships. As a Commercial Account Manager you will be primarily responsible for offering advice and expertise to clients to develop an insurance solution. In addition this role will act as a liaison between insurance carriers and clients. Account Managers work closely with a team to provide exceptional customer service and increase revenue on the book of business. This position reports to a Commercial Lines Supervisor and operates under the leadership of the department Director.
Key Position Information:
Manage a book of business with a focus on New Business negotiating difficult remarkets and fostering strong relationships with carriers and clients.

- Be Collaborative. You will need to be easy to work with and willing to help others to accomplish overall production retention and growth goals.
What you need to have:
- An active General Lines Property and Casualty license issued by the Texas Department of Insurance.
- Five ten years of broad Commercial Account Manager experience and exposure for an independent insurance agency.
- Expertise in Contractual Liability Excess & Surplus General Liability Workers Compensation and Business Auto Insurance.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverages.
- Ability to negotiate and work with underwriters.
- CIC Designation preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in Applied EPIC is preferred but not required.
