The Role

We are currently seeking a Sales Representative in Midland Texas. The Sales Representative understands the marketplace and grows our SPM products and services within our customer base (existing and new).

What You Will Do:

  • Understanding of our business channel and acting within the business processes and executing commercial actions to drive growth.
  • Designing and assisting on the forecast while leveraging sales techniques to support of new products and services.
  • Define and execute customer coverage plans and leverage tools for more professional experience.

What You Have Skills Knowledge & Experiences:

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Level Working Knowledge:

  • Communicates the importance of customer needs/expectations and commits to resolving them.
  • Researches and verifies customer needs and expectations.
  • Solicits customer satisfaction feedback and acts on improvement opportunities.
  • Helps link organizational objectives to customer needs and expectations.
  • Meets regularly with customers to understand their wants needs and expectations.


Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organizations industry group trends directions major issues regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Level Working Knowledge:

  • Discusses industryspecific flagship products and services.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge of the regulatory environment for industry segment.
  • Describes the contribution of own function as it relates to the industry segment.
  • Participates in major industry professional associations; subscribes to industryspecific publications.
  • Currently works with a major industry segment and associated functions and features.


Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decisionmaking process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Participates in documenting data ideas players stakeholders and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a clean driving record which generally means:
  • No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
  • No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.

Additional Information:

  • Relocation to Midland TX is available
  • This position requires frequent day trips within the territory and up to 15% of the time overnight travel
  • This position is currently a fully onsite work model requiring you are onsite in Midland TX.

Summary Pay Range:

$95640.00 $143520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
