Overview:
We are on the hunt for an outstanding and experienced Nurse Director of Perioperative Services to energize and elevate our surgical services across inpatient and outpatient environments. In this pivotal leadership role youll helm a team of perioperative nursing and support professionals and significantly impact patient care and surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities for our Nurse Director Perioperative Services :
- Operational Leadership: Drive daily operations within the Perioperative Services department ensuring seamless workflows and high staff productivity.
- Team Development: Recruit mentor and inspire a talented team of nurses and support staff fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and strict adherence to organizational policies.
- Collaborative Coordination: Partner with physicians anesthesia providers and clinical departments to orchestrate efficient and effective surgical services.
- Our experienced Perioperative Services Nurse leader will have:
- Knowledge of block schedules OR utilization SPD high volume caseloads staff training and accountability.
- Strategic Vision: Contribute to the departments strategic planning and implementation including developing budgets identifying quality improvement initiatives and establishing performance metrics.
What Were Looking For in our Nursing Director Perioperative Services:
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Masters preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in perioperative nursing with a minimum of 5 years embracing leadership in an acute care setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal that resonate with our commitment to quality care.
