You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailProvides professional leadership and advanced knowledge in the practice of lactation management. Assesses patients needs diagnoses lactation problems plans and implements intervention and evaluates outcomes. Conducts prenatal childbirth breastfeeding infant CPR infant care and sibling classes and evaluates educational outcomes. Provides outpatient care and consultation for families experiencing breastfeeding difficulties. Serves as consultant for physicians and other healthcare providers concerning lactation as it relates to the patients health.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited college/university with degree in Nursing.
Prior experience in a neonatal intensive care or pediatric unit as an IBCLC preferred.
Current IBCLC certification or eligible to sit for exam. If not currently certified must apply to sit for the exam at the next scheduled application date.
CPR certification required.
