Job Description

Employment Type: Full Time 35 hours per week

Duration: 2 years fixed term

Remuneration: Level 6 $% Super Annual Leave Loading

Location: Kensington Sydney New South Wales

The Kirby Institute is a worldleading health research institute at UNSW Sydney. We work to eliminate infectious diseases globally. Our specialisation is in developing health solutions for the most atrisk communities. Putting communities at the heart of our research we develop tests treatments cures and prevention strategies that have the greatest chance of success.

Why Your Role Matters:

The Project Officer will play a key role in supporting the operational and research activities of the LGBTQ Population Health Research Group. Working as part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team the Project Officer will contribute to a range of ongoing research projects focused on LGBTQ health and wellbeing.

Core responsibilities include data collection management and analysis as well as coordinating project activities assisting with communication materials managing relationships with stakeholders and providing daytoday administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the groups initiatives.

This position requires a high level of organisation attention to detail and interpersonal skills as the Project Officer will work closely with senior research staff to help deliver project outcomes on time and in line with research objectives.

The Project Officer reports directly to the Senior Research Fellow/Group Leader of the LGBTQ Population Health Research Group and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
