Position Summary:
The purpose of this role is to plan design and optimize PointClickCares workspace environments. This role involves coordinating with the Workplace Experience Senior Director and Project Design Manager to ensure that office layouts and projects meet the needs of the employees and align PointClickCare operational and organizational goals.
The WE Engineer is responsible for managing PCCs portfolio of properties daytoday operations and building and associated programs. This position is highly customer oriented & focused experienced in building systems and in negotiating tracking and implementing maintenance contracts schedules. Is intimately knowledgeable with all building fire and safety codes etc. and is the first line of response for any and all building related emergencies such as floods power outages etc. Designs office reconfigurations on AutoCAD and works with external vendors to execute small projects and repairs. Has a keen knowledge of vendor management compliance and is an advocate of health and safety. This position requires to be on call 24/7 for buildingrelated emergencies.
Key Responsibilites:
- Manage space utilization data for all locations Assist with space planning and design modifications to enhance office layouts and facilities for better workflow enhancing employee satisfaction through engagement initiatives.
- Feasibility Studies Collaborate with Senior Director and Design Project Manager on space layouts furniture reconfigurations and propose design recommendations based on inhouse client needs.
- Enhance office layouts and facilities for better workflow.
- Ensure that all PointClickCare facilities are designed built and maintained to meet building and fire codes.
- Intimate working knowledge of office safety and compliance building codes and health and safety standards.
- Manage and maintain department databases AutoCAD drawings project asbuilts and schedules including real estate floorplans FF&E (furniture fixtures and equipment) construction finishes samples and standards for all capital projects and internal department website.
- Support real estate projects by collaborating with the Senior Director and Design Project Manager to plan and execute small projects and decommissioning facilities. Work with internal stakeholders external vendors and consultants to solicit quotes and scheduling work.
- Collaborate on Workplace Experience Design Manager & operations to implement initiatives and tasks landlord induced base building upgrades & liaise with Property Management teams as required.
- Create and distribute Workplace Experience communications.
- Assist WE Sr leadership with all emergency response items issues. Work closely with building owners to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Report and work closely with emergency response team in execution remediation & resolution.
- Assists as required in event reconfiguration of rooms areas such PCC Caf & Hub and decor as needed.
- Implement workplace technologies for seamless collaboration.
- Coordinate office services and amenities.
- Provide customer service support to both internal and external stakeholders regarding facilitiesrelated inquiries.
- Ensure a positive and efficient hybrid or inoffice work experience.
- 75% typical office environment
- 20% physical effort
- 5% travel
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / degree in business related discipline
- 35 years experience in facilities space management / design
- Expertise in AutoCAD
- Selfmotivated with ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Support afterhour projects as required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Degree in Interior Design Architectural Technology CMP or PMP designation.
- Professional designation such as FMP CFM etc
- FM software
$31.29 $33.65 an hour
AtPointClickCare base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards Canada base salary rangefor this position is $31.29 $33.65overtime eligible. Our salary ranges are determined byjob and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range individual compensation is determined by jobrelated skills and knowledge relevant experienceincluding professional and lived experience and/or work location.
