As a Principal Applied Scientist at UiPath youll drive the frontier of machine learning research and development crafting the foundation for transformative product innovations. This is a handson leadership role at the intersection of applied research engineering and strategywhere youll influence the technical direction of our most advanced ML initiatives.
We are seeking a scientist with a proven track record of leading highimpact research and deploying cuttingedge machine learning systems at scale. You should be deeply curious about AI and ML committed to pushing boundaries and motivated to solve realworld automation problems in scalable and innovative ways.
The ideal candidate has substantial experience designing and executing complex experiments building highperformance ML systems and mentoring teams. Above all we value collaboration humility technical excellence and a bias for action.

Background:
This role is with the UiPath advanced machine learning research group which builds large multimodal models designed to act and operate software like humans. Our mission is to push the boundaries of AI in pursuit of useful general intelligence for enterprise automation.
What youll do at UiPath:
Lead the design and development of stateoftheart machine learning and deep learning systems for realworld production environments.
Innovate in NLP NLU NLG computer vision and multimodal learning to drive breakthroughs in software automation.
Define and drive the roadmap for scalable ML infrastructure and researchtoproduction pipelines.
Architect experiments conduct indepth benchmarking and analyze largescale datasets to evaluate and improve model performance.
Collaborate crossfunctionally with engineering product and research teams to integrate ML systems into UiPath products.
Mentor and guide other scientists and engineers providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation and rigor.
Stay ahead of industry and academic advancements influencing the companys research strategy and sharing insights across the organization.
What youll bring to the team:
PhD or MS in Computer Science Machine Learning Statistics or a related field.
5 years of experience in machine learning research and largescale system deployment.
Deep expertise in areas such as natural language processing computer vision multimodal learning or reinforcement learning.
Demonstrated success leading ML projects from research to production.
Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch or JAX.
Experience working with largescale datasets and cloudbased ML infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and mentoring mindset.
Prior experience in automation RPA or related enterprise AI applications is a plus.
