The Corporate Growth (CG) team leads SPAs business development activities in existing and emerging defense and civilian markets. CGs core areas of responsibility include capture and proposal management company pipeline development and maintenance GWAC management business intelligence research and the formation of strategic partnerships.
SPA has an immediate or near term need for a Solution Architect.
Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect you will work directly with the CG leadership team and actively support business development activities and capture of high value contracts. Work in partnership with the capture manager and technical experts to translate customer requirements into a compelling solution concept and vision. Responsible for facilitating solution sessions whiteboarding and preparing for corporate solution design reviews. This is a highvisibility position with the opportunity to collaborate extensively with senior management. This position is located in the DC Metro areas but may support efforts across all SPA offices. The Solution Architect will be expected to:
- Lead development of innovative and customer driven solutions for single award IDIQ and task order proposals.
- Manage all aspects of solution development including facilitating technical solution sessions and identify specific strengths SPA can offer for the customer benefit.
- Leverage innovative thinking thought leadership and knowledge of technology and solutions to enhance current offerings and translate into proposals/white papers.
- Prepare and present solutions to leadership during solution design reviews for high value captures.
- Lead design and development of key solution artifacts that will be used for proposal development.
- Support and may lead the development of the technical and or management volume for proposals.
- Ability to shift priorities and support evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Current Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one); TS/SCI clearance a plus
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 10 years solution development/architect experience across multiple Federal customer environments supporting efforts >$100M in value
- Ability to analyze information and make sound observations and recommendations quickly
- Expert knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and the ability to conceptualize graphics
- Strong facilitation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting solutions and technical concepts
- Comfortable working with and briefing solution concepts to senior management
- Able to work flexible schedules including long hours and weekends
- Reports to Alexandria VA work location up to fulltime based upon the needs of the client
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical writing proposal experience for complex systems development efforts
- Formal capture lifecycle training (Shipley or other formal capture training)
