Job Description

PENDING FUNDING AND ENROLLMENT

LOWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS

SUMMER SCHOOL SERVICES 2025

Summer Program

Lincoln Elementary School

Position: Classroom Teachers

Reports to:Program Administrator

Students attend June 24 August 3

Includes 5 hours of planning and PD time prior to program start

4 hours per day

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years successful teaching experience preferred
  • Experience working as a teacher in Lowell for students with and without disabilities
  • Experience working in a summer program orafter school program to provide academic tutoring
  • Certification as a classroom teacher
  • Experience with designing engaging curriculum
  • Experience in program development and implementation of learning plans

Duties / Responsibilities:

Report to the Program Administrator

Teachers will offer daily instruction to students and provide individualized supports as needed.

Plan lessons to meet the individual learning needs of each child

Support the development of English learning and supports through high quality instruction

Provide instruction to approximately 1215 students

Maintain daily classroom attendance and other relevant records

Report on student progress to families Special Programs office

Salary: $45 per hour per contract
