This position will be based out of our San Diego office but will require travel to our Orange County office or client site located in Orange County 23 days per week.

The Senior Project Manager position includes regular travel to project sites.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of multiple concurrent commercial construction projects from inception through to the completion of construction.
  • Interface with Hughes Marino clients and brokers on new project requirements.
  • Assist in the review of Leases and Work Letters as it pertains to construction related items.
  • Daytoday involvement in directly managing multiple ongoing complex construction projects.
  • Manage up to two internal project managers/project engineers in support of ongoing projects.
  • Develop initial project budgets and schedules for multiple types of projects of different sizes and complexity.
  • Manage project progress against approved budgets timelines and client directed goals.
  • Assemble manage and coordinate project teams required to complete projects. This typically includes the entire design team general contractor furniture vendor and other client vendors.
  • Managing change order invoicing tenant improvement allowance reimbursement and project closeout processes.
  • Actual compensation within $150000 $190000 range will be dependent upon the individuals skills experience and qualifications. This range includes base salary only and is not reflective of a total compensation package. The range is a good faith estimate and Hughes Marino reserves the right to make adjustments based on candidates work experience location and skills.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading new construction and tenant improvement projects.
  • Experience with DesignBuild projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing people internally and externally.
  • Applicants should be highly proficient in Bluebeam Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project.
  • Must be a selfstarter and possess a strong ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Able to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with client(s) and internal partners.

Qualifications

  • Must be a local candidate and will be based out of our beautiful San Diego office if selected.
  • This position involves a combination of inoffice and onsite work.
  • The ideal candidate will have 510 years of experience in the construction industry. We are looking for candidates who have served in Construction Project Manager or Senior Project Manager type roles.
  • Bachelors degree from a fouryear college required preferably in a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills polished and a proud representative of the Hughes Marino brand.
  • Regular travel as required to support client projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project proficiency
