We are looking for a Shipping Specialist
Job Responsibilities
- Must be able to lift/manipulate wood onto the saw.
- Read and follow blueprints or engineering drawings to create skids and custom boxes
- Operate crane or fork truck to manipulate shipments onto truck for transportation or assembly/packaging.
- Ensure proper shipping procedures are followed and shipping containers meet customer specifications.
- Compares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders or other records
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons using stenciling equipment.
- Select materials and operate equipment to complete work with a variety of carpentry tools including nail or staple guns impacts and drills and other hand tools and larger machinery such as saws.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of working experience in a construction role
- Previous carpentry experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience with operating a fork truck or crane preferred
