The position of Senior Accountant will help in a variety of functions within SharkNinja. This will include preparing journal entries summarizing results general ledger analysis and completing account reconciliations. This role will be focused on revenue recognition . This person will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong accounting processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP. This is a great opportunity to join a public fastpaced business. The position will provide the opportunity to learn how high growth business models operate all while obtaining substantial guidance feedback and mentoring from a Finance team with private and public accounting experience.
Responsibilities
- Preparing general ledger entries maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts
- Validating deductions received from retailers
- Learning and enhancing our current accounting procedures
- Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Collaborating with internal and external business partners to resolve transactional issues
- Acting as liaison between Finance and other departments
- Supporting our internal and external audits
- Supporting and maintaining strong internal control policies and procedures
- Identifying and leading opportunities for process improvements
- Providing accounting support to other business units for special projects/adhoc reporting and analysis as necessary
Required experience:
- Bachelors degree in accounting required CPA preferred but not required
- 2 years of public or industryspecific accounting experience
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Detailoriented with proven analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- High degree of business acumen and emotional intelligence
- Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work crossfunctionally
