DescriptionThis position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
Responsibilities Analyze edit and organize Korean genealogical records in our digital inventory
Group volumes into appropriate collections based on archival data
Investigate and resolve datarelated inconsistencies or inquiries
Prepare and update metadata using FamilySearch tools
Use Excel and AI tools to streamline data workflows
Support a variety of ongoing archival and data projects
Qualifications Must be enrolled in an educational institution or within oneyear postgraduation (Paid Internship Engagement Letter required)
Knowledge of Korean Jokbo and familiarity with historical genealogical records
Experience with Microsoft Excel (including formulas and basic scripting/coding) and Word
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with precision
Detailoriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with FamilySearch services and Family History Library Catalog is a plus
