As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the worldclass stateoftheart smart vehicles were known for. In this position...
You will apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing test processes and products.
Responsibilities
What youll do...
- Maintain completed Defect Testing Matrix for all test equipment.
- Support MQOS scorecard tracking and deliverables
- Must be available to work alternate shifts as needed.
- Assist Production and Quality departments in determining the root cause(s) of the top test stand rejects in the production areas.
- Daily provide Engineering Supervisor with Test FTT reports and status of top rejects prior to production meeting
- Lead reject resolution meetings in addressing test stand top FTT concerns.
- Use test stand WMA software to monitor test stand FTT and stand to stand correlation.
- Assist Maintenance and Production in troubleshooting and repairing down test equipment. Investigate and implement corrective actions to address top availability issues. (I.E. faults and downtime)
- Conduct Daily review quality indicators ECBs (Early Concern Binning) VEPC Warranty
- Reports RTYs (Rolled Throughput Yield) QRs (Quality Rejects) and FQAs (Final Quality Audit) issues
- Track concerns and review initial test results/data from all relevant test equipment.
- Monitor failures and communicate multiple identical failures issues to appropriate management personnel and group leaders for resolution at source (i.e. operator vendor process etc.).
- Ensure that resolution of issues is addressed with the goal to drive InStation Process Control (ISPC) Error Proofing and improved Process Capability.
- Use of Schleict electrical tester for quality validation including PDIV wave form analysis. Phenix BDV Evaluation of stators for product durability testing.
- Once suspect unit is returned record any retest of defect testing dataalong with analysisthen assist the Engineering and Quality team in determining root cause and document improvement actions to test equipment.
- Conduct a monthly review of all critical test point variable trend charts. Verify test point trends and current limits. Investigate or notify correct personnel of any unusual trends.
- Read and modify prints and schematics Autocad
- Support plant initiatives around Innovation Center identifying opportunities for digitalization 3D printing data analytics advanced vision and advanced robotics.
Qualifications
Youll have...
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience of EOL testing principles including data knowledge of Electrical testers
- Strong interpersonal skills working with individuals of diverse cultural academic and cognitive backgrounds.
- Understanding of manufacturing principles including constraints and bottleneck analysis
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong and effective communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective coaching/mentoring
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to be flexible in work scheduling

- WMA Test Software Experience
- Experience:Certified 6Sigma Black Belt
- Test principles of leak helium and transmission test equipment
- Mechanical and Electrical knowledge of Electric motor assembly

This position is a range of salary grades 6 7 & 8.
