This Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role on our Advanced Surgical R&D team based out of Denver CO. The Senior Project Manager will take on intensive mission critical project management while also developing project management capabilities and resources for use throughout the team. These efforts will directly contribute to the divisions new product innovation and / or continuous improvement on existing product lines with a focus on technologies used in general surgery designed to deliver real benefits to surgeons hospitals and their patients.
Advanced Surgical products include:
- Advanced insufflation systems
- Advanced energy systems
- Advanced smoke management systems
- Electrosurgical units (ESUs)
- Laparoscopic surgical instruments
As a CONMED Senior Project Manager you will have accountability and ownership over projects with varying levels of complexities which includes the coordination of all internal activities in support of CONMED initiatives. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams of large size/scale and complexity with strategic focus on the most efficient path to completion.
- Identify opportunities proactively and during project management and seek out creative solutions that may be implemented systemically.
- Manage large scale or multiple project timelines budgets resources and risks to meet design control requirements per FDA GMPs section 820 and international medical device standards.
- Develop a culture of project management and accountability across the team. Engage team members and set direction in a way that delivers results and inspires others.
- Lead project teams by providing technical and project management expertise to bring new products to market.
- Direct responsibility for keeping the Senior Leadership Team informed of project status and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Maintain credibility through effective and proactive relationships and stakeholder management.
- Proactively identify manage and mitigate project risks.
- Lead timely and datadriven decisionmaking to support the project timeline and budget engaging stakeholders and leaders as needed.
- Predictive understanding of impacts of decisions throughout organization.
- Work closely with technical leaders marketing engineering systems and operational departments to keep projects on schedule
- Maintain liaison with various CONMED divisions and external project partners.
- Maintain project design history files in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or highly related engineering field)
- 8 years professional work experience
Other Attributes:
- Experience in estimating engineering personnel needs and scheduling work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate team members promote teamwork and identify best practices and areas for improvement.
- Ability to plan conduct and supervise engineering assignments involving one or more large size/scale and complexity with strategic focus on the most efficient path to completion.
- Ability to maintain project schedules and proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Project.
- Displays personal accountability and credibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodology

Disclosure as required by applicable law the annual salary range for this position is $98000 $163000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location work experience education and skill level. The salary range is CONMEDs good faith belief at the time of this posting.
