With a team of over 120 data and software engineers we leverage cuttingedge technologies to deliver exceptional services to our clients.
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Investment Bank Payment Technology team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
- Develops secure and highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a functionwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decisionmakers to consider the use and application of leadingedge technologies
- Design develop and deploy full stack solutions for the Payments Data Platform
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze requirements
- Implement best practices in software development including code reviews testing and continuous integration
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Handson practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Proven experience in full stack software development
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend development
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML CSS JavaScript and modern frameworks (e.g. React Angular or )
- Experience with Apache Flink and Databricks
- TDD and BDD mindset
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with microservices architecture GraphQL and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Certification in software development or related fields is a plus
- Lead and mentoring experience
