Your Role

As the Payer Account Manager you will manage Honests partnerships with health plans to ensure Honest its payer partners and its provider partners work collaboratively to optimize outcomes. In this role you will leverage your prior experience in payer account management and/or payer valuebased care operations to proactively enable the endtoend success of Honests payer partnerships. To achieve success you will need to: serve as the internal subject matter expert on executed payer contract terms develop and articulate longrange payer partner strategy considering current and futurestate needs and closely monitor and manage the success of payer partnerships. You will utilize a collaborative team approach with our payer partners as well as Honests payer contracting implementation operations information technology quality and other teams. By doing so you will drive significant improvements in growth customer experience and operational performance.

Primary Functions of the Payer Account Manager Include:

  • Support the development of payer management strategies and direct ongoing activities.
  • Partner closely with Honests payer contracting implementation operations information technology quality and other teams to ensure ongoing execution of the market strategy.
  • Monitor and manage the ongoing success of payer partnerships including:
  • Serving as the internal and external subject matter expert on payer contract terms once fully negotiated and executed including responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners as well as escalating concerns when contract terms are not followed
  • Establishing preparing for leading and documenting communication cadences between Honest and payers (e.g. joint operating committee meetings)
  • Identifying documenting resolving and escalating issues through crossfunctional collaboration
  • Preparing and distributing reports to payers that reflect the value Honest Health delivers to each partnership
  • Designing administering and reporting out experience surveys to key stakeholders
  • Staying uptodate on payer industry trends and implementing best practices
  • Develop systems for advancing payer partnerships to meet the ongoing needs of Honest and its provider partners.
  • Balance empathy advocacy and ability to drive results by being an effective collaborator with our payer partners.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

How You Qualify

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration business or related field required; Masters degree in healthcare administration or business administration or graduate degree in business or related field preferred
  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment preferably with demonstrated success in a payer account manager role or payer valuebased care operations role
  • Deep expertise in valuebased care strategy and payer operations (e.g. Medicare Advantage) and pillars (e.g. medical management Stars clinical documentation etc.)
  • Ability to manage expectations across multiple stakeholders continually reinforcing the necessary blueprints and change management techniques to realize the true efficiency and effectiveness of valuebased models including global/fullrisk arrangements
  • Ability to proactively develop highquality materials work on concrete deadlines and deliver results independently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel Dynamics)
  • Demonstrated past ability to lead and/or influence a team to successful execution of strategic priorities in a matrixed environment
  • Comfort working in a fastpaced groundup business build with a strong bias for action

The base pay range for this role is $105600.00 $121400.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for shortterm incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
