As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the AI/ML & Data Platform team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
- Develops secure and highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a functionwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decisionmakers to consider the use and application of leadingedge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5 years of applied experience.
- Proficient in building complex distributed systems using Java (11/17) on AWS with realworld experience across multiAZ multiregion and multicloud vendor environments.
- Experience in AWS products/services and Kubernetes/container technologies with the ability to apply them effectively for specific workloads.
- Understanding of established patterns including stability patterns/antipatterns eventbased architecture CQRS and process orchestration.
- Proficient in creating realworld architectures that align with business engineering teams needs ensuring applications are built around these designs.
- Excellent grasp of modern engineering practices to leverage Public Cloud benefits such as autoscaling supported by robust tooling and automation.
- Experience in system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field.
- Familiar with Big Data stack (Spark/Iceberg)
