About us The India Climate Collaborative (ICC) is a collective working to identify critical sectors that need investment drive funding towards climate solutions and enable private and corporate philanthropy to engage more effectively with climate action. We work closely with the climate ecosystem including research organisations implementers government stakeholders businesses and more as well as engage with our domestic and international donor base to ensure that funding flows towards highimpact climate solutions. We were founded by some of Indias preeminent corporate and philanthropic leaders including Rohini Nilekani Ratan Tata Anand Mahindra Nadir Godrej and others.

Role: The ICC is looking for a skilled Communications leader to spearhead our communications vertical and support our program and donor engagement teams. This role holds the responsibility of formulating and executing the ICCs comprehensive communications strategy engaging with media and stakeholders and driving impactful messaging to propel climate action in India. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Indian climate communications landscape and climate philanthropy exhibit acute attention to details and thrive in a startup environment of all handsondeck.
Reporting to the Director of Operations they will undertake the following key responsibilities across corporate executive and crisis communications media relations narrativebuilding as well as managing a highcalibre team:
Communications Initiatives:
Position and expand the visibility of climate philanthropy across a range of media to build value trust and longterm momentum towards climate action.
Lead the development and execution of a communications strategy while keeping organisational and sectoral objectives in mind.
Working crossfunctionally to platform Indian climate philanthropy and our CSO partners in global and domestic forums.
Establish ICC as a prominent climate actor in the region thereby reinforcing collaborative priorities bolstering trust and enhancing brand recognition.
and Content Strategy:
Build and update ICCs key messages
Own and drive ICCs Newsletter a flagship newsletter for the sector.
In partnership with members of the communications team support the evolution of a content strategy as well as identifying new opportunities or ways to build content for the sector.
Own the writing design and dissemination of ICCs flagship and annual reports.
Relations:
Own the ICCs public relations efforts including building proactive relationships with reporters journalists and the media at large.
Work with the CEO and senior leadership to ensure they are representing ICC strategically. Additionally build capacity and systems to enable multiple spokespeople to represent ICC externally.
Monitor media coverage and analyse trends making necessary adaptations to communication strategies as required.
and Marketing:
Oversee the design and review of critical communications assets such as case studies videos podcasts executive speeches and outreach kits.
Work in partnership with the Senior Associate Brand Communications to grow and drive engagement across ICCs owned and operated channels.
Along with this as the owner of ICCs communications team the Senior Manager will be responsible for being thoughtful about internal communications to ensure transparency alignment and engagement across the organisation; implement crisis communication protocols and responses to manage potential reputational risks should any such situations occur and finally be responsible for building developing and managing the communications team.
These are an indicative list of roles and responsibilities. In short the Communications Sr. Manager will be expected to own and operationalise all the aspects of the ICCs Communications strategy and lead the communications team overall.
