You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailYou will be an experienced registered social worker who enjoys work in a fast paced environment. You will have excellent risk assessment skills and have experience of supporting other social workers and social care practitioners as well as experience of working with complex safeguarding situations in multi agency environments.
The team is a new service set up in recognition of the specific complexity of undertaking safeguarding with individuals who do not already have an established relationship with Adult Social Care. The Team will focus on all concerns progressed to enquiries and concerns progressed for care management where there is evidence of self neglect.
We have engaged with council colleagues and key system partners (such as Housing health drug and alcohol and domestic abuse services) in the commissioning of this service and know that strong relationships will be formed across the system with joint working expected to be the norm where other services are involved.
You will support the manager of a team which includes social workers and social care practitioners who will develop strong links with key multi agency partners to provide person centred outcomes for the residents of Cornwall. You will also hold case responsibility for some complex cases.
You will be responsible for supporting the manager for the work incoming to the team support with allocating work in line with the practice quality standards as well as offering case supervision and reflection to the team of social workers and social care practitioner.
You will support the manager with attending the daily Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub meetings and will link in with triage and risk manager colleagues.

You will be a social worker qualified with a Social Work Degree Social Work Qualification (Dip. SW) or equivalent and registered with Social Work England who will have:
Should your experience as a social worker be within another sector (such as Childrens Social Care or the Voluntary sector) we provide additional support to transition into adult social work through a supported induction period.
