Limited Term Appointment
Position Description
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a ninemonth limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 11 2025. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The successful candidates will have or be nearing completion of a PhD in Mathematics Statistics or a related field. The preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and provide evidence of highquality research.
About the Department
The Department has 11 tenured/tenuretrack research active members across a variety of areas committed to the scholarship of teaching and outreach to the community. The Department prides itself on its engagement with students and collegiality within the University. The successful candidate will find an intimate supportive inclusive and intellectually stimulating environment.
