APHSA is recruiting new talent! We are seeking an ambitious new hire who is efficient and successful at managing business lines that bring people technology and community together to advance customercentered improvements in the delivery of public benefits and services.


APHSA is an association representing state and local agencies in the health and human services field. With and through these members we work to advance solutions that are centered on administering overseeing and aligning programs to provide access to food health care housing employment childcare community support and other key building blocks.

While your main focus will be leading and creating professional services and products that we offer to our members and partners we are also looking for someone who thrives in a team environment. Your direct supervisor and coach will be Chief Executive Officer. Your support will be the entire APHSA organization because we work best when we all work together!


JOB SUMMARY:

Provide strategic leadership to expand and deliver APHSAs feeforservice business lines including organizational effectiveness consulting conference & events training and related service offerings. Oversee business development drive revenue growth and ensure operational excellence. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and external partners to develop innovative highimpact services that meet member needs and strengthen APHSAs market presence.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead strategy and execution for APHSAs professional services portfolio to ensure highquality delivery strong customer outcomes and business growth. Build and maintain relationships with members funders and strategic partners across sectors to support growth and innovation.
  • Oversee business development including new service/product design sales strategy marketing coordination and revenue generation. Oversee customer engagement onboarding service delivery and ongoing success tracking. Monitor market trends member feedback and industry benchmarks to continuously refine services.
  • Lead operational planning pricing risk management and service performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align services with APHSAs mission strategic goals and member value.
  • Direct strategic execution collaboration and effective execution of APHSA conferences and events to support members partners and other key stakeholders requirements.
  • Partner with APHSAs Executive Leadership Team to cultivate a highperformance work environment that demonstrates APHSAs core values. Serve as key member of the Executive Leadership Team. Help formulate and administer company policies program design and develop longrange strategic goals and objectives. Represent APHSA at public events speaking engagements and professional forums.
  • Codevelop and manage the Professional Services Department budget. Oversee fiscal tracking of contract and grantfunded work and development/management of event budgets.
  • Provide coaching and supervision to Department managementlevel staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management Business Public Policy Social Work Public Administration or a related field required.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading internal and/or external consultancy services providing sustainable customer solutions.
  • 10 years of experience in public human services nonprofit management or social impact sectors with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities with a demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and drive organizational change.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders at local state and national levels.
  • Knowledge of data analysis impact measurement and program evaluation methodologies.
  • Expertise in budget management fundraising and securing grants to support social impact work.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to relevant human services programs practices and policies.
  • Ability to travel (up to 20%).
  • Competencies crucial for success in this role include: driving execution leading change establishing strategic direction cultivating partnerships and relationship management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to work independently from a remote location.
