At JPMorgan Chase we are committed to creating accessible employeefacing products that empower all users. Our Accessibility Analysts collaborate with designers and technologists to ensure our digital properties are inclusive and meet the highest standards of accessibility.
As an Accessibility Analyst you will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving accessibility barriers ensuring compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards and other accessibilityrelated laws. Your expertise in HyperText Markup Language (HTML) code assistive technology testing and inclusive design principles will be instrumental in driving accessibility initiatives across the firm. In this role you will be part of a network of Accessibility Analysts and subject matter experts from around the world. You will embrace leadingedge inclusive technologies and methodologies. Additionally you will inspire product teams to follow best practices in accessibility.
Job responsibilities:
- Identify document and propose solutions for accessibility barriers based on WCAG 2.1 standards.
- Apply accessibility knowledge to a wide range of digital properties including native mobile applications and digital documents.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers and User Experience (UX) designers in oneonone or small group settings.
- Assist Senior Accessibility Analysts in training Software Engineers and UX designers.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- 2 years of relevant accessibility testing knowledge.
- Practical experience testing for WCAG conformance using screen readers magnifiers and other assistive tech tools.
- Ability to analyze code for accessibility issues in HTML/CSS/JS.
- Proficient knowledge of accessibility defects across various technologies including Word PowerPoint and other document standards.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Experience with PDF/UA and other document standards
- Mobile accessibility expertise on Android and iOS
