Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
This contract supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component agency the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in advancing its mission to protect the nation and respond to emergencies effectively. Specifically it focuses on enhancing and sustaining FEMAs Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Operations Portfolio.
The mission centers around the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of IT systems and services that are critical to FEMAs ability to deliver emergency management capabilities. This includes ensuring continuous system availability security modernization and operational efficiency to support FEMAs missioncritical programs and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee enterpriselevel IT operations including:
- Virtualized infrastructure
- Network Operations Center (NOC)
- Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Manage and ensure the smooth execution of complex IT projects related to infrastructure migration and cloud services.
- Design implement and manage operational processes and procedures to ensure reliable IT service delivery.
- Oversee critical components such as networks servers databases and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Industry standards
- Regulatory requirements
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and align engineering efforts with FEMAs strategic goals.
- Drive continuous improvement to ensure missioncritical service reliability and support emergency response operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience:
- 10 years of proven experience managing IT enterprise operations and leading technical projects in cloud and infrastructure.
- Certifications (must have one or more of the following):
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification
- MultiCloud Certification (AWS GCP OCI Azure)
- Clearance:
- Must obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting work US Citizenship
