Job Description

Join our team as the Administrative Laboratory Director and oversee the operational and administrative leadership of our lab. Reporting to the Laboratory Medical Director(s) you will ensure highquality reliable patient testing while managing a skilled and dedicated laboratory team. Hiring Range is approximately $138000/year to $180000/year commensurate with applicable professional experience and education.

Key Responsibilities:
Direct daytoday laboratory operations ensuring quality systems across all phases of testing (preanalytic analytic and postanalytic).

Establishes effective working relationships with staff patients providers customers vendors managers and staff in administrative and support departments.
Foster a safe and compliant laboratory environment meeting physical chemical and biohazard safety standards.
Supervise and support staff promoting growth accountability and effective performance.
Lead quality systems initiatives including error monitoring and corrective actions.
Cultivate positive relationships with team members physicians and administrative leaders.
Manage recruitment training performance evaluations and compliance with clinic policies.

Experience in financial planning and budgeting for clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology services including creating managing and adhering to annual budgets as well as forecasting and planning for future growth.

Qualifications:
Education: MLS or MT with a Masters Degree required (obtain within 12 months); or PhD considered*.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Laboratory Manager in a highcomplexity testing lab; expertise in QC/QA regulatory compliance.

Experience in financial planning and budgeting for clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology services including creating managing and adhering to annual budgets as well as forecasting and planning for future growth.
Skills: Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to evaluate performance and implement change effectively.
Valid drivers license required.

  • *PhD consideration: Hold an earned doctoral degree in a chemical physical biological or clinical lab science from an accredited institution AND be certified and continue to be certified by a boardapproved by HHS; OR before February 24 2003 must have served or be serving as a director of a lab performing high complexity testing and must have at least two years of lab training or experience or both; AND two years of laboratory experience directing or supervising high complexity testing.

Pay Range:

$135149.00 $202723.00

PTO and Personal Time accruals are prorated by FTE/hours worked. Nonbenefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
