Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cashier/Accounts Receivable position at Chris Auffenberg Chrysler of Herrin is an integral part of the accounting and finance department. This position is responsible for processing payments managing accounts receivable and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions. This is a fulltime hourly position in the auto industry located inHerrin Illinois. The Cashier/Accounts Receivable role is an individual contributor position.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.00 per hour paid weekly. In addition employees will have access to benefits such as health insurance paid time off and a retirement savings plan.

Responsibilities:
Process cash check and credit card transactions for vehicle sales service repairs and parts sales
Reconcile cash registers and prepare daily cash deposit
Maintain accurate records of all cash receipts and payments


Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Assist with monthend and yearend closing processes

Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions
Provide exceptional customer service to all clients both internal and external
Other duties as assigned by the accounting manager or supervisor

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework in accounting or finance preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling or accounts receivable
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Familiarity with the auto industry is a plus
