Job Description
Position Summary:
The UX Developer (aka FrontEnd Developer) is primarily responsible for building a bestinclass ecommerce website focusing on HTML/CSS JavaScript design and overall user experience for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic fastpaced and fun environment.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement new userfacing features
- Steer requirements and oversee development of all aspects of UX for the site including ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Create frontend user interfaces (UI) from wireframes & specifications
- Employ best practices for optimal performance
- Partner with Backend Development QA and Analytics to support ecommerce projects
- Create designs and styles for frontend user experience
Required Knowledge Skills Abilities and Experience
- 1 years of frontend development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (portfolio/code examples submittal required)
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Proficient understanding of web markup including HTML5 CSS3
- Proficient understanding of clientside scripting and JavaScript libraries including jQuery
- Experience optimizing code for SEO and Googles Core Web Vitals
- Proven experience in translating design requirements for optimal UI
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Organized detailed and able to meet tight deadlines
- Flexible creative and teamoriented with strong problem solving skills

Physical Demands: Ability to remain in a stationary position 90% of work time with extensive computer use. Occasionally move about inside the department and within the main building of the company with or without reasonable accommodation.
