In this key role youll lead a group of dedicated managers that are responsible for hardware engineers specializing in electronics and mechanics. Youll set the strategic direction for the department support your teams growth and ensure delivery of highquality reliable solutions.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Inspire and lead a team of managers within hardware engineering fostering collaboration learning and technical excellence
Define and implement hardware development processes methodologies and tools ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards including DO254 for electronics
Oversee the full development cyclefrom idea to production
Manage the departments budget and resources effectively.
Collaborate across departments to drive successful project outcomes
The Hardware Development department consist of three sections with approximately 45 people making this a pivotal leadership role within the Engineering organization. To succeed in this role you have:
Proven experience (5 years) in hardware engineering leadership roles ideally within the aerospace or safetycritical systems industry.
Strong understanding of hardware development methodologies safetycritical hardware development standards (e.g. DO254) and relevant design tools.
Strong proficiency in English with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken form.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Electronics design
FPGA/PLD development
Mechanical design
Power supply design
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
